When my husband was in high school he used to love math. He said he learned a lot when he was a freshman and was excited about taking more mathematics so he could possibly become an engineer. However, as time went on, it became more and more difficult. He gave up on anything associated with mathematics because it became more and more difficult. If he would have had math help he would have continued with it. Instead, he took the minimum amount of credits in high school. My husband is a smart man but he just couldn’t stand being average in his math classes. He could have really used online math tutoring when he was in high school. He even told me that he would not hesitate to get online math help for our son in case he struggles like my husband. Mathematics is not an easy subject but some excel more than others. My husband thought he would excel but quickly found out that it gets very difficult very quickly.
